Background
In 1963, he published The Korean Journal of International Relations (KJIR) published by the academic society, and published the best papers in Korea.
The Korean Journal of International Relations (KJIR) is the official Korean-language journal of the Korean Association of International Studies (KAIS), which publishes top-level Korean articles and is representative of the Korean International Relations academic world. The KJIR has accumulated exceptional research contributions in the fields of International Relations, Foreign Policy, Comparative Politics, and Area Studies, and thereby has significantly influenced national policy and public opinion both within Korea and abroad. As a result, the KJIR has been selected as one of the three social science journals to receive the Excellent Accredited Journal certification by the Korean Citation Index (KCI) of the National Research Foundation of Korea, a feat which has been made possible by the academic achievements of the KAIS both within the Korean and global academia. The next KCI review is planned for 2029, and the KAIS will strive to continue the tradition of excellence.

The Korean Journal of International Relations (KJIR) is the official journal of the Korean Association of International Studies (KAIS). It is a quarterly peer-reviewed academic journal covering global and regional affairs and theoretical debates in the field of international relations and area studies. It is a quarterly peer-reviewed academic journal covering global and regional affairs and theoretical debates in the field of international relations and area studies. Published four times a year(March, June, September, December), KJIR is a peer reviewed journal indexed and abstracted in the Excellence Accredited Journal of Korea Citation Index. The KJIR endeavors to attract original articles devoted not only to perennial issues in East Asia including the Korean Peninsula but also impacts of diverse perspectives at the global and regional levels. Through these efforts the KJIR provides an important channel of scholarly ideas and produces quality work for the field. KJIR shall be published four times a year. The expected dates of publication will be March 31th, June 30th, September 30st and December 31st.

The deadline for each issue are as follows.

- June 30 (Publication date : September 30)
- September 31 (Publication date : December 31)
